Boathouse Interior

This is a painting that I had finished late last year but finally had the painting professionally photographed. The light sensor in my Canon digital camera was going out and the color just wasn't coming out right. This picture is pretty close to the actually painting.

Egg Crate with Cabinet Doors and Map

The Boston Symphony Orchestra in conjunction with the Copley Society of Art in Boston placed a call to artists to submit art work depicting various movements of Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition." My painting Egg Crate with Cabinet Doors and Map was accepted for the movement "Ballet of the Unhatched Chicks." The show will be up at Symphony Hall from March 6-April 13.  Please see Copley's website (www.copleysociety.org) regarding information for the artists' opening on March 6 or the BSO concerts on April 12 & 13.

Pysanky Egg Still Life

This is a painting that I have been working on for the past couple of weeks. It is approx. 24 x24 inches. This is a vanitas  themed oil painting on panel.

Here is another variation of the three panel tea set still life. I exchanged the right panel tea cup with yellow rosebud Royal Albert cup. The new panel still only has one glaze of paint so it looks a bit flat right now compared the other panels.

This is a 9x 24 tea set that I am working on as well. The tea cups and pot have one glaze of paint but there are still some areas that have the underpainting showing. I back drop will be the same as the other tea set painting.
This is my second Tea set trio that I am working on for a commission.
I decided to  break up the image into three separate panels to reflect the process of making tea. They are three images that can hold on their own or together as one still life. The dimensions are 8x 24 inch. They will be put in a float frame.

Tea Table Set

This is a miniature study ( 3 1/2 x 12 inch) that I am working on for a larger set of paintings. The finished product for this commissioned work will be 3 ( 8x8 inch) panels set into a single float frame.
